Regarding the incentives for the marketing of national production, the press release indicates that it is a reference price set at 280 Dh / quintal, delivered mill for standard quality, a flat-rate subsidy of 5 Dh / quintal in favor of the marketed quantities of common wheat of national production spread out until October 31, 2021 and a storage premium of 2 Dh / quintal per fortnight for the overall quantity of common wheat collected. Granted to storage organizations, this premium will be served until the end of December 2021. With regard to measures relating to customs duties, for common wheat, customs duties on imports will be raised to 135% from the 15th May 2021, while for durum wheat, import customs duties will be raised to 170% from June 1, 2021. The period of the import refund premium will end on May 15, 2021. This premium was set up to ensure the supply of the market following the soaring world prices. The ministry also stresses that tenders for soft wheat intended to supply industrial flour mills for the manufacture of subsidized flour will be reserved as a priority for the national harvest. As for the awareness and incentive component for the collection of national production, the same source indicates that a meeting chaired by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture was held with professionals, in particular the Interprofessional Federation of Cereal Activities (FIAC ) represented by the National Federation of Industrial Flour Mills and the Federation of Cereal and Legume Traders to raise awareness of the collection of national production. The latter have expressed their commitment to ensure this operation. It should be noted that the analysis of the first samples of the 2021 harvest, taken by the ONICL laboratory in the Abda zone, shows a good level of quality, with a very good specific weight of the around 79.9 Kg / Hl, i.e. 3 points more than the standard weight, with a max of 82 Kg / Hl and a good protein rate, around 13%.
