A partnership agreement was signed on Monday in Rabat between the minister responsible for Moroccans living abroad and the Aeronautics Skills Network in the United States and Canada, in order to help strengthen the attachment of Moroccans to North America to their Motherland. The signing of this agreement comes in application of the Royal High Guidance for the development of an innovative public policy on migration in order to support Moroccans residing abroad (MRE) and respond to their concerns, indicated the delegated ministry in a press release, adding that it is also part of the implementation of the national program for the mobilization of Moroccan skills abroad. As part of this agreement, reports the MAP, the ministry undertakes to support and accompany the activities of this network, which brings together Moroccan skills residing in the United States of America and Canada, having acquired extensive experience in the field of aviation and aeronautics, in particular the organization of summer universities to train Moroccan students and engineers in aeronautics and programs to mobilize expertise for projects related to this field. This agreement also aims to promote the exchange of expertise and experiences between network experts and experts in Morocco, thus crowning coordination work between the ministry and the Network for several weeks to organize a summer university in Morocco. July 12 to 17 at the National School of Arts and Crafts (ENSAM), said the press release, noting that this summer university will allow Moroccan students and engineers to train in fields related to aviation thanks to the experts of this network. Faced with the globalization of scientific and technological research, a meeting was scheduled with the Moroccan-American Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchanges, in order to present a presentation on scientific travel between Morocco and the USA for the benefit of students, engineers and Moroccan executives, with the aim of setting up student / scientific exchange programs between the two countries, adds the same source. The minister responsible for MRE indicated that it had put in place programs and measures to put Moroccan skills abroad at the service of Morocco’s development, given their role in terms of knowledge and technology transfer. In this context, the ministry also mentioned the national strategy for MRE, in particular the national program for the mobilization of skills abroad, and its goal of involving Moroccans around the world in national development projects, by forging partnerships. solid and efficient with networks of skills of Moroccan experts residing abroad. The press release finally underlines that the results of a study carried out in 2016 by the ministry, in collaboration with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, revealed that nearly 500,000 (17%) of Moroccans residing in member countries of this organizations have a higher degree and are active in strategic and site scientific and economic sectors.
