Covid-19: Moroccan authorities decide to strengthen the control system for access to national territory

Posted by ALM Date: November 13, 2021 The Moroccan authorities have decided to strengthen the control system for access to national territory, the Interministerial Covid Monitoring Committee announced on Saturday in a press release. This decision comes in order to preserve the important achievements made by Morocco in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and in the context of preventive health measures imposed by a context marked by the increase in cases of contamination in the European neighborhood of the Kingdom, clarified the Committee. Thus, and in addition to the compulsory Health Pass and negative PCR tests for people from countries on the B list, on arrival in Morocco, a double check will be carried out, by thermal cameras and electronic thermometers as well as by antigenic tests.Medical teams made up of several doctors will be deployed in all the ports and airports of the Kingdom, said the same source.The press release also indicated that any passenger who tested positive on arrival in Morocco will not be able to access the national territory and will have to return immediately to the country of origin at the total expense of the air or maritime transport company, with the exception of people with permanent residence in Morocco.
